Interview With An Early Childhood Professional

Hello bloggers! I had a very interesting and enlightening interview with a Social Service/Family worker professional. I began my interview by stating  that I am doing some research on Advocacy in the early childhood education field. I'm interested in advocating for young/teen parents, currently some related issues to this topic are child neglect/abuse, which is directly related to uneducated, inexperienced, and stressed single young mothers. Some current issues that she currently encounters in her work is encouraging these young girls to stay in school and complete their education. Many of these young mothers drop out of school, which in turn makes them ineligible to receive childcare services; which is such a great start for these children who are enrolled in high quality childcare centers. My interview was very enlightening and gives me more momentum for beginning my advocacy efforts for teen mothers. Some other interest areas that I would like to focus on are; child abuse/neglect, and helping to keep these young girls in school. Also, I would like to help keep them focused, stress free, and informed and educated about the importance of early childhood education.
